The role:
We are seeking applications from Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people who specialise in Land Management, Horticulture and Arboriculture to execute planned works out of Keysborough.
Responsibilities also include:
- Carrying out works including weed mitigation & control, fire-trail remediation and assist management of overabundant native and feral animal control.
- Day to day execution of programmed land management, horticulture and arboriculture works.
- Maintain all plant and equipment and complete all daily equipment checks
- Carry out all works with minimal disturbance to the environment and disruption to the community and clients core business
- Liaising with exceptional customer service with clients and customers.
- Report details of all non-conforming work and materials.
To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:
- Experience in a similar role
- Cert 1 in Wildfire Fire Fighting or willing to obtain
- Level 2 Work Place First Aid (Desirable)
- Cert 3 Conservation and Land management or similar training
- Level 1 in Chainsaw Operation (trim and cross cut)
- Experience in the application of herbicides, ACUP qualification to administer chemicals
- Use of minor plant and equipment (mowers, tractors, brush cutters, spray units)
- Current Manual car drivers licence with no restrictions
