The Role

Representing Broadspectrum to provide effective and efficient delivery of the Land Management Service within Woodside client base in support of the Defence Base Services (DBS) Contract 
To effectively direct the Land Management team and assist the Site Coordinator in the provision of Land Management service delivery in accordance to the Land Management Plan and Activity Schedule


These Duties Will Include, But Will Not Be Limited To:

  • Supervise Land Management staff and subcontractors.
  • Commitment to following HSE and Quality Assurance procedures, audits, checklists and registers.
  • Effective communication between staff, subcontractors, customer and clients.
  • Oversee care and upkeep of equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to State regulatory requirements.
  • Complete administration tasks arising from the Land Management Activity Schedule.
  • Assist in the development and implementation the Land Management Activity Schedule including the preparation and management of work programs.
  • Monitor the performance of the grounds maintenance team and give technical advice.
  • Manage Land Management staff to ensure all facilities are prepared to best horticultural practices, especially with Hydrozone management.
  • Undertake land management tasking to ensure all facilities are prepared to best horticultural practices, especially with Hydrozone management.
  • Develop an effective work schedule.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Site Coordinator.



Skills & Experience

  • Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent experience
  • Medium Rigid Vehicle Licence
  • Chainsaw Level 1 or 2
  • Elevated Work Platform
  • Agvet Chemical Users Course (or state equivalent)
  • First Aid Level 2
  • HSE Industry Program
  • Open Motor Vehicle licence
  • Must have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar working environment with an understanding of all subordinate duties
  • Good working knowledge of turf, horticulture, arboriculture and irrigation operations
  • Supervise, lead, manage and mentor staff
  • Project management and performance monitoring
  • Working within an Environmental Management System


Special Conditions

  • Must meet physical requirements of the role as well as the physical demands of the environment and emergency evacuation requirements.
  • Required to liaise with clients/staff and respond to specific deadlines.
  • The incumbent to this role must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1 (Secret).  As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
