Due to an increase in workload we are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our small but hardworking team of Electrical Fitters, Mechanical Fitters, and apprentices base out of the scenic town of Twizel.

 

Situated in the heart of the spectacular Mackenzie High Country surrounded by mountains and lakes this town is well-positioned base for mountain climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, hiking and has gold status Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve.

 

This role will see you lead your team in undertaking tasks associated with power generation construction and maintenance.

 

You will be responsible for providing a safe, reliable, and cost effective construction, erection, installation, repair, assembly, maintenance, and modification of all types of HV and LV electrical gear.

 

There is a big focus on working as part of one big national electrical services team, sharing information with supervisors, team leaders, and other team members to contribute in the overall growth of the business.

 

Required Skills and Competencies

 

  • Demonstrate experience in all aspects of HV and or LV work for at least 5 years after training/apprenticeship;
  • Demonstrate experience in a documented procedure and process driven environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance and construction of power station equipment;
  • Demonstrated repair and maintenance experience with power transformers and OLTC;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in rigging, and crane operation;
  • Demonstrated experience with Working at heights, Confined Space and Hazardous substances;
  • Certified electrician with NZ registration and current practicing licence or eligible to gain NZ registration.
