Workplace Trainer and Assessor

Broadspectrum registered training organisation (RTO), Broadspectrum Training Services  Pty Ltd, is currently seeking a Workplace Trainer & Assessor with the appropriate qualifications and experience to focus on providing high level training services to the our subsidiary company Easternwell and other Broadspectrum contracts.

This full time position will see the successful candidate reporting directly to the Training Team Leader in Toowoomba. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the delivery and facilitation of training and assessment activities relating to the following programs:


  • Certificate IV in WPHS
  • Transport related programs including;
    • Fatigue Management
    • Chain of responsibility
    • Load Restraint

And or: 


  • High risk work license programs such as;
    • (CN) - Non Slew Mobile Crane
    • Dogging and Rigging Qualifications

Responsibilities of the position would include but not be limited to the following:


  • Providing training & assessment
  • Reviewing assessment instruments
  • Managing the physical resources required for the delivery of the programs
  • Completing documentation to support delivery and assessment practices such as the development of session plans, resources and assessment documents prior to and at the completion of training
  • Action recommendations and continuous improvements relating to our training business within agreed timeframes
  • Completing professional development activities in accordance with development plans and organisational requirements
  • Participate in moderation and validation activities as required.


In addition to the listed vocational qualifications and duties above, the following required experience and qualifications are required:


  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated industry experience and currency within the vocational area of specialisation
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote location
  • Recent and relevant experience related to competency based training and National Training Packages
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training programs and courses
  • Well-developed written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of ASQA standards, legislation, and policies specific to RTO operations
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Knowledge of learning management systems is an advantage but not essential

This role will work Monday to Friday and be based primarily in Toowoomba Qld although some travel and interstate work may be required at times.
