We are seeking Assist and Assure Coaches to support our growing Rig and Camp Operations. 

 

About the Role:
The role will report directly to the Operations team and will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the Easternwell Assist and Assure program. This consists of Audit, Train, Coach, & Mentoring of on-site personnel to ensure Easternwell Operations and HSE agenda focus areas are implemented and sustained on all sites in the region.

 

About You:

 

Experience Needed:

  • 5 years experience in the oil and gas sector with either a Well Servicing or Drilling, Transport or a HSE background.

 

Exposure to: 

  • Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control; 
  • HSE / Systems Auditing; 
  • Experience in reporting on HSE and Supervisor performance indicators.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in small teams.
  • Proven ability to engage and coach team members to deliver quality work outcomes.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes (Required):

  • A minimum of a Certificate III, IV or Diploma Qualification in Well Servicing or Drilling Operations OR A Certificate III in Transport and Driving Operations OR Applicants may hold a Certificate IV, Diploma or under graduate degree in Workplace Health and Safety with adequate Oil and Gas experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to engage a range of different audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with ability to interact with staff and management at all levels for improvement of health and safety.
  • Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety legislative requirements, including the QLD Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act and Regulation 2004, QLD Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995 and Regulation 2008, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards.
  • Able to effectively liaise with Statutory Authorities, where required.
  • Proven Time Management Skills good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to solve complex and abstract problems.
  • Professional report writing skills. 
  • Ability to contribute to the development of a positive workplace culture.
  • Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of Easternwell’s Health and Safety Management System and SMP.
  • Ability to interface with and lead personnel and contractors. 
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with a variety of stakeholders including, staff, contractors and external suppliers.
  • Ability to produce routine management reports to deadlines for input into wider reporting systems.
  • Ability to work in a remote location with limited direct supervision.
  • Open, manual Drivers Licence.
