Broadspectrum have an opportunity for an Administrator to join their Finance & Admin team based in Thames. 
You will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Thames Transport branch from which we provide road maintenance and construction services to the local district council. This is an exciting time to join the team in Thames as we have recently won a new term to our contract. There will be other fresh faces joining the team at the same time but there will also be a core of experienced staff to guide you and show you the ropes.
There is a Finance element to this role which includes accounts payable/accounts receivable, payroll, month-end reports, and maintaining spreadsheets.
You will be working closely and proactively with stakeholders including Broadspectrum staff, Council representatives, consultants and occasionally members of the public as well..
General office duties include answering phones and forwarding calls to the appropriate contact, taking and distributing messages, assisting staff in the field with inquiries and welcoming visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Admin duties include attending meetings and taking minutes, maintaining the filing system, maintaining stationery, tea and coffee supplies, organizing morning and afternoon teas when required and ensuring regular maintenance of office equipment.
To be successful in this role you will need previous experience in finance administration - i.e. knowledge of debits and credits,  accounts payable and accounts receivable, journals etc. You will have some confidence in handling excel spreadsheets, good customer service skills, good keyboard and data entry skills, great energy, flexible, and have the drive to further yourself by learning new skills. You will be open to new ideas and alternative ways of doing things. Experience working on SAP or ARIBA will be advantageous. 
 • Previous experience in Finance admin - AC/AP, journals, Debit/Credit
 • SAP or ARIBA capabilities will be advantageous
 • An open mind and a proactive approach to work
