About the role

 

Broadspectrum are seeking a talented and motivated Site Works Manager to support our new Chorus UFB 2 contract and will cover the Manawatu-Wanganui region.

 

This role is responsible for the day to day operations; looking after and in charge of all works involved with the network roll out in the area.

 

You will be in charge of up to 3 civil contracts as well as the fibre contract.

 

As Site Manager, you are expected to build a team who succeed as individuals, actively collaborate with one another and are willing to be part of a culture of knowledge sharing for the benefit of the development of the Telecommunication industry as a whole.

 

Reporting to the Regional Build Manager this role offers the best of both worlds with the combination of using technical business skills together with onsite practical experience.

 

About You

 

The successful candidate will need to have experience in leadership and excellent organisation skills as well as the ability to plan ahead and avoid reactivity.

 

You will preferably have 3+ years experience in project delivery within the construction industry and familiarity with civil installation techniques in telecommunications, water, or power. Experience in blow and fibre build is also ideal.

 

You will have the ability to build strong working relationships and influence both internal stakeholders and the client.

 

Experience in dealing with local council is an advantage.

 

There is also a financial element to this role as you will be manging financial budgets for the duration of the job so an understanding of P and L reporting is ideal.

 

Qualifications

 

Valid full New Zealand driver licence (able to drive a manual vehicle).

  • Management of teams and subcontractors including individual performance management
  • Strong commitment to Health and Safety
  • This role requires travel across the region as well as working remotely.
