The Contract
Ventia will put the customer at the centre of everything we do through the Sydney Roads Asset Performance Contract. We aspire to deliver a step change in the delivery of road and ITS maintenance and management services in the western Parkland zone of Metropolitan Sydney and further ITS services through the rest of regional NSW. The Role
Ventia are currently seeking Network Delivery Officers to provide 24/7 identification and categorisation of OS faults from a variety of incoming datasets and responding to these faults as per procedures.  Based west of Metropolitan Sydney the Network Delivery Hub Officers will also be responsible for liaising with onsite crews and subcontract staff to ensure the delivery of all maintenance, project, traffic management and incident response and clearance requirements.  
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring works plan adherence and safety management system compliance by all staff and contractors. 
  • Reporting on shift performance and reporting back to TMC and customers the progress of complaints, incidents or network issues.
  • The operation and monitoring of SRAP Parklands Contract using defined procedures and electronic systems for ITS equipment to ensure a smooth, safe and uninterrupted flow of traffic 24 hours a day.
  • Detecting and responding to incidents identified by Ventia or the TfNSW Transport Management Centre within the required KPI criteria.
  • Observing and initiating remedial action to traffic conditions which may affect motorist safety or disrupt efficient traffic flow.
  • Adhering to procedures and monitoring the implementation of safety processes for all Ventia and subcontract personnel working on the road network.
  • Identifying opportunities or deficiencies in operational practices to result in the improvement of service to TfNSW customers
  • Liaising with TMC, Police, Metropolitan Fire Brigade and other emergency services when required to ensure all relevant procedures / protocols are carried out promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with the reporting of traffic, incident and proficiency statistics to fulfil Ventia reporting obligations.

Requirements 

  • Previous experience in a similar role (working on Stewardship Maintenance Contract or alike). 
  • Ability to work on a 24/7 operational roster. 
  • Sold systems knowledge – ideally exposure to ITS systems and interrogation of fault data.
  • Fault management / Work Order process management experience.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a customer service environment.
  • Experience working within a quality management systems environment.
  • Sound knowledge and skills - Microsoft Office suite
  • Fault management / Work Order process management experience
  • Proactive with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work alone or part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, management, internal/external stakeholders and subcontractors as required.
