The Contract


Ventia will put the customer at the centre of everything we do through the Sydney Roads Asset Performance Contract. We aspire to deliver a step change in the delivery of road and ITS maintenance and management services in the western Parkland zone of Metropolitan Sydney and further ITS services through the rest of regional NSW. We will be driven by outcomes that will consider customers, stakeholders and places in our decision making and will drive sustainability through service delivery. The Role


Ventia are currently seeking ITS Technicians to deliver maintenance to Traffic Signals, Intelligent Transport Systems and Street lighting equipment throughout the Western Parklands region of Sydney.  

 

This position will see you working on a fulltime permanent basis and your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining, fault finding and upgrading Traffic Signal, ITS and Streetlighting equipment and systems. 
  • Accurately recording all activities undertaken on site. 
  • Implementing and complying with site OH&S requirements. 
  • Complying to statutory, contractual and company requirements in the development and delivery of services.
  • Comply with all aspects of quality, health and safety and environmental protection.
  • Recording product non-conformance, accidents and dangerous occurrences and environmental incidents. 
  • Supporting the Asset Manager and ITS Asset Engineer for the delivery of Asset Management Planning Services across the contract.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Trade qualification Electrical, Control System or Communication engineering. 
  • NSW electrical license essential.
  • 5 years of relevant experience as an ITS Technician 
  • Understanding and experience in operation, maintenance, construction, testing and commissioning of Traffic Signal, ITS and streetlighting systems.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience in the use of computerised Management and Asset Management Systems. 
  • Willing to participate in an “on call” roster and relief service.
