The Contract
Ventia will put the customer at the centre of everything we do through the Sydney Roads Asset Performance Contract. We aspire to deliver a step change in the delivery of road and ITS maintenance and management services in the western Parkland zone of Metropolitan Sydney and further ITS services through the rest of regional NSW. We will be driven by outcomes that will consider customers, stakeholders and places in our decision making and will drive sustainability through service delivery. The Role
Ventia are currently seeking a systems manager to provide systems management and support to the new contract and provide assessments and analysis of the data for the purpose of tracking performance, compliance and continual improvement. Based west of Metropolitan Sydney, the position will see you based within the Commercial team and will assist in driving positive financial and operational direction for the Contract. 
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing key systems 
  • Working with stakeholders to develop requirements
  • Managing and auditing of data
  • Developing reports in order to meet business, performance, Asset Management and contractual needs


  • Excellent written communication skills with experience preparing complex briefings and reports for a diverse range of audiences, including the Senior Leadership Team
  • Experience in developing the strategic direction of an Information Systems and Technology function
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate staff
  • Track record of improving organisational capability and service delivery through the use of improved systems and processes
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical skills and judgement in decision-making
  • Proven experience to lead and manage Business Continutatlity Plan for inforamtion technology function
  • Proven experience in managing information technology budget
  • Track record in project management for information technolgoy projects
  • Extensive experience in the management of complex information technology environments and platforms with a track record of aligning and integrating systems within a secure and managed network - cloud computing plateform, integration, GIS, database, SharePoint and mobile technology
  • Extensive experience to deliver system/application for Asset Management
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current trends in information systems, technology and management industry
