The Contract
Ventia will put the customer at the centre of everything we do through the Sydney Roads Asset Performance Contract. We aspire to deliver a step change in the delivery of road and ITS maintenance and management services in the western Parkland zone of Metropolitan Sydney and further ITS services through the rest of regional NSW. We will be driven by outcomes that will consider customers, stakeholders and places in our decision making and will drive sustainability through service delivery. The Role
Ventia are seeking an experienced Civil Maintenance Manager to achieve optimum production and cost for maintenance activities on the SRAP Parklands contract through the management of direct labour and subcontractors in a healthy and safe work environment.
Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring subcontractors are managed in an effective and responsive manner to achieve project objectives
  • Ensuring project standards and quality are achieved
  • Developing and delivering against the project plan
  • Ensuring maintenance activities are conducted in a cost-effective manner and assisting with meeting project budgets  
  • Ensuring comprehensive records are established and maintained to assist decision making
  • Ensuring relevant stakeholders’ requirements are met by building and maintaining productive internal and external relationships
  • Ensuring contract KPIs and sustainability and diversity targets are met and documented
  • Undertaking LEAD across Civil, ITS, and Project activities to proactivity identify areas for SHE improvements

 

Requirements 

  • Trade qualification and extensive relevant experience in road maintenance
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering desirable
  • Works Management and scheduling competencies
  • 10+ years road maintenance experience 
  • Knowledge of concrete and asphalt and a knowledge of concrete and asphalt characteristics
  • Proven experience in managing direct workforce
  • ICAM incident investigator training
  • Basic computer skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office and Project
  • Traffic Control experience
  • TfNSW Qualified (Traffic Control Red + Yellow. Additional Design + Audit training desirable)
  • MR licence and EWP desirable
  • Drivers Licence
