Broadspectrum is a Ferrovial Company, one of the world’s leading infrastructure and municipal services organisations, and is a leading supplier of asset services and integrated solutions, helping our clients to deliver real business outcomes, safely and responsibly. With a network of more than 96,000 people across 20 countries and utilising 60 years of experience, we provide services to vast industries, including Resources, Energy, Industrial, Infrastructure, Property, Social and Defence Sectors in Australia and New Zealand, providing Logistics, Facilities Management, Consulting, Construction, Care, Welfare, Operations, Maintenance, Well Servicing, and Business Support Services. Our local employees are part of a global leader in workforce diversity, inclusiveness and respect. Providing infinite opportunities, this role can offer a long-term and dynamic career path across a range of sectors and geographies.
We are now looking for Human Resources Graduates to join our two-year graduate program, commencing in January 2020.
A #SpectrumGrad is a future leader of Broadspectrum, whether it be as a manager or as a thought leader within your field. You are joining us because you believe in our vision and values. You are able to see the wide range of opportunities Broadspectrum has to offer in terms of responsibilities, disciplines, projects, progression and locations – national and international.

About the role
The #SpectrumGrad program consists of 2 x 6 month rotations and 1 x 12 month rotation, which will provide you with extensive learning and development opportunities through face-to-face training, workshops, team building exercises, case studies, seminars, online modules, networking events and more. You will be provided with many opportunities to establish relationships with clients and senior stakeholders of the business and, above all, gain hands-on experience within your field of expertise. In addition to this, your rotations will take you out of your comfort zone by giving you the chance to work in both corporate and field-work environments. Your rotations could take you anywhere from Toowoomba in Queensland to some of our Military Bases in the Northern Territory.
This means that there will be an expectation that you have flexibility in where your work is located throughout the duration of the program. Don’t worry though, we’ll ensure you settle in well, wherever you are!
Graduate rotations will vary depending on location, current projects and personal preference. Areas you could be working in include:

  • Transactional: Spend time in our HR Service Centre to get exposure to contracts, pre-employment checks, general HR/ER advisory & payroll.
  • Capability & Projects: Deliver policy reviews and improvement, work on diversity & inclusion initiatives and support talent reviews, performance & development.
  • Systems: Get exposure to various HR systems including SAP and SuccessFactors, and how they support the employee lifecycle.
  • Generalist: Gain generalist HR advisory and partnering knowledge through exposure to our business operations.
  • Specialist: Have the opportunity to work in specialist areas including bids & transitions, remuneration & benefits, employee relations and recruitment.

While you will be engaged as a Human Resources Graduate, we recommend for you to rotate through our different teams and operate outside of your discipline for one of your rotations. This ensures you have breadth in your experience and to maximise your exposure to the diversity of our business!
