We have a long and successful partnership with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and the partnership continues to grow.  Broadspectrum has been successful in securing the National Clothing Store Services Contract (NCSS) for the ADF over the next 5 years with potential for extensions beyond that tenure, so it would be a great time to join the team. Clothing Stores are primary logistic functions characterised by the process of Sales and Issue of Clothing and Personal Equipment (C&PE); Medal Mounting; Tailoring and Operational Kitting skills. Internal movement of Freight is also involved. These services are provided to Defence individuals and Defence elements.

The Role

 

Broadspectrum are currently looking to engage a Casual Seamsperson for the NCSS contract to assist with the daily tailoring requirements of the Stirling store. The Casual Seamsperson ensures that all elements of the NCSS tailoring contract within the base are carried out in accordance with the contract requirements and appropriate Defence and Broadspectrum Services Policy.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

The Seamsperson will be responsible for all apparel modifications for in service defence personnel and their dependants on base (on a part time basis). The role would also be a great opportunity for a Seamsperson that is just starting out in the industry.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

 

Minimum two years’ experience as a Seamsperson

Experience within the Defence sector (highly regarded)

Demonstrated IT proficiency, management and organisational skills

Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level
