The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified Chef to join our team at RAAF Base in East Sale. This role will see you supporting the Head Chef with daily Mess operations and food service, as well as at Mess functions. This is a Casual position.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure efficient preparation and delivery of meal services
  • Contribute to Broadspectrum’s Food Safety Program
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, and barbeques
  • Participate in regular stock take and inventory control activities
  • Maintain a clean & sanitised kitchen always

Skills & Experience

  • Commercial Cookery Certificate III, or above (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a large commercial kitchen environment
  • Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
