You must be skilled in delivering positive outcomes and results in a complex correctional environment. You will be an excellent people person with strong interpersonal skills, personal values that show a recognition that people can change, and an ability to embrace diversity and to have a relentless focus on delivery and doing the right thing. You understand the risk factors on first entry into custody, and are able to make sure risk is minimised in the critical first few days. In addition, we will be looking for:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Significant operational experience; preferably managing services to the justice and corrections sector
  • Demonstration of “constructive” leadership skills by bringing people on board and believing in your vision
