About the Role

 

Thanks to a newly awarded contract by the Department of Corrective Services, MTC-Broadspectrum Joint Venture are now currently seeking candidates wishing to enhance their career as a HEAD OF RELEASE & REINTEGRATION, based at the Parklea Correctional Centre in Western Sydney.

 

In this role you will ensure a sufficient level of support, tailored to the needs of each Inmate, is made available in the period leading to and on re-entry into the community. This is driven by MTC-Broadspectrum’s belief that individuals are less likely to reoffend if they have the right support around them in the key areas of employment, accommodation, education and training, life skills and family/relationships.

 

You will bring an ability to lead a multidisciplinary team, role-model positive values and behaviours, create a clear and compelling vision, set clear direction and provide mentoring and coaching.

 

Our requirements

  • Have at least three years’ relevant experience in a senior leadership role in a correctional, justice or institutional setting
  • Have exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills which will enable you to nurture positive relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  • Be highly knowledgeable in research and evidence related to offender rehabilitation and positive resettlement and reintegration outcomes for people released from prison.

 

Overall your ability to lead effectively in a dynamic environment whilst mentoring and supporting in a professional and engaging manner, are the key skills we require.
