About the Role


Thanks to a newly awarded contract by the Department of Corrective Services, MTC-Broadspectrum Joint Venture are now currently seeking candidates wishing to enhance their career as a HEAD OF CASEWORK & INTERVENTIONS, based at the Parklea Correctional Centre in Western Sydney.


In this role you will ensure we deliver on our commitment to providing case management and rehabilitation services that positively changes Inmates’ lives and create better outcomes for Inmates, the State and the community. When well-designed and appropriate programs, interventions and pathways are made available and Inmates are motivated to take part in them, there is a better chance that they will successfully reintegrate into the community and lead law-abiding lives.a sufficient level of support, tailored to the needs of each Inmate, is made available in the period leading to and on re-entry into the community. This is driven by MTC-Broadspectrum’s belief that individuals are less likely to reoffend if they have the right support around them in the key areas of employment, accommodation, education and training, life skills and family/relationships.


You will possess sound knowledge of behavioural management methods, rehabilitation and treatment programs, and case management methods.

You will also skilfully manage and coordinate various stakeholders and work closely with other business units to ensure each inmate receives a holistic and targeted level of support.

  • Be a compelling leader and a role model for positive values and behaviours.
  • Have a proven ability to lead a multidisciplinary team, role-model positive values and behaviours, create a clear and compelling vision, set clear direction and provide mentoring and coaching.
  • Have at least three years’ relevant experience in a senior leadership role in a correctional, justice or institutional setting
  • A post-graduate degree in psychology, social work or related field will be highly regarded
  • Have exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills which will enable you to nurture positive relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  • Be highly knowledgeable in research and evidence related to offender rehabilitation and positive resettlement and reintegration outcomes for people released from prison.


Overall your ability to manage a variety of stakeholders to ensure the delivery of all required interventions to each Inmate in sequence and on time, are the key skills we require.
