Due to a recent restructure an opportunity has become available for a Workers Compensation Claims Manager with NSW and (ideally VIC) Inhouse experience.


Reporting to the State Workers Compensation Manager the purpose of this position is to determine liability, process and manage claims in an effective manner in accordance with the respective State Workers' Compensation Act. Implementation of formulated Claims & Injury Management & Return to Work strategies and/or processes to achieve targeted claim costs reductions and increase claim closure.


Determination of claims liability in a timely manner.

  • Manage all aspects of Workers Compensation claims from inception to finalisation.
  • Coordinate client claims reviews at nominated intervals.
  • Liaise with all relevant parties as required in the claims management process.
  • Ensure claim and customer concerns are resolved in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Implement best practice Claims & Injury Management to achieve claim cost reduction and greater return to work outcomes.


Accountable for the timely processing of Workers Compensation claims, the coordination of injury management and facilitation of early return to work.


Special Conditions:

  • Sound knowledge of the relevant State Workers Compensation Act.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding and commitment to injury management principles and the RTW proces(or the ability to acquire this understanding)
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Basic understanding of injury prevention principles.
  • Understanding and Commitment to HSE / OH&S principles.
