Position Purpose:

Be responsible for organising the procurement activities for the business for assigned categories and related sub categories that deliver sustainable value/benefits to the business.

In consultation with key stakeholders develop and implement category strategies for assigned categories with a five year horizon.

Support key business stakeholders in the delivery of their business strategy and the achievement of their operational goals through the delivery of commercially astute and efficient procurement strategies.


Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Relevant Commerce, Business qualifications.
  • Deep knowledge of Category Management, Contract Management and SRM.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills correlated with superior writing and presentation skills
  • Leadership and teamwork, listening and influencing ability with key stakeholders in a multi-site and industry environment.
  • Administratively self-sufficient, including experience in using an SAP ERP system, CRM/SRM systems, data warehouse, e-procurement systems and Microsoft office software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to plan and organise workload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (Essential)
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in PowerPoint (Essential)
