About the role
We are currently inviting applications for a Network Officer - Roads to join our team on an upcoming roads contract. 
The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for Road Rehabilitation and Maintenance Activities.


As the successful candidate in this role, some of your core responsibilities will include;

  • Undertake Hazard and Defect inspections of roads and roadside assets
  • Investigate and report on enquiries and complaints from customers and stakeholders
  • Assist in the monitoring of internal and third party works
  • Ensure the safety of the road user – through the completion of Defect and Hazard inspections
  • Assist in the management of the Asset inventory by undertaking Asset condition surveys
  • Assist in monitoring contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and contractual requirements for both internal and third party works. 
  • Assist in the compilation of  records, including inventory information ensuring its accuracy and completeness 
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Roads Programs of work


Your experience should include but not limited to;

  • Experience in the inspection of roads and road related assets (VicRoads experience preferred)
  • Experience in road construction practices 
  • First Aid Training
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Qualification in Engineering, Construction or related is advantageous
  • Valid Driver’s Licence Class 1
