About the role
We are currently inviting applications for a Statistician to join our team on an upcoming roads contract. 
The primary purpose of this role is to increase knowledge of the current and predicted performance of network assets to refine work programmes.

 

As the successful candidate in this role, some of your core responsibilities will include;

  • Work with the Asset Management Team to identify, analyse and build complex prediction models to return the best whole of life solutions for network assets
  • Formulate mathematical models to simulate processes
  • Analyse and interpret data, and produce relevant statistics to reflect observed trends
  • Use numerical analysis methods to develop algorithms from observed data to replicate trends
  • Calibration of existing models with developed algorithms
  • Develop and apply models to reflect observed trends, adjust and recalibrate the models as new data is received
  • Evaluate and report on the reliability and completeness of collected source data
  • Assist in developing and maintaining network programs of work
  • Develop and manage processes, procedures and SOPs for data collection activities ensuring that they reflect current best practice


Your experience should include but not limited to;

  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in relevant field 
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of client’s design procedures, codes and specifications together with effective Quality Assurance.
  • Knowledge and experience of performance measurement
