About the Role:
Located in Ventia’s King’s Park Office and reporting into the Quality and Compliance Manager – the Senior Quality Advisor manages the internal and external audit programs in accordance with the requirements of the AMS Contact. This role also monitors and reports on audit findings through root cause analysis, effective remedial strategies, preventative measures and issuing non-conformances based on business risk and non-compliance.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships with Land and Housing Contract (LAHC) Compliance, Audit & Verification Teams and Senior Management within areas of responsibility
  • Schedule and conduct internal audits, based on business risk and compliance against ISO9001 standards
  • Schedule and conduct external audits on Contractors and report findings to Vendor Management Team for performance management
  • Participate in Bureau Veritas recertification audits, as and when required 
  • Manage quarterly LAHC audits, through scheduling, participation, documentation review, set project timelines, analyse root cause and effective corrective/preventative actions, within required target completion dates
  • Promote the use of the GMS (global management system) that ensures the effective implementation of the quality management framework and documentation management through SharePoint Team site
  • To coach and mentor operational personnel across the contract in the development and application of Quality systems and processes, to ensure ongoing understanding and compliance with business requirements
  • Conduct validation activities, based on business risk and audit outcomes
  • Liaise with relevant Quality personnel to ensure, where possible, consistency of systems/processes and to gain the benefit of any available synergies for continuous improvement
  • Provide advice and assistance with audit findings, remedial strategies and preventative actions.
  • Foster and promote an attitude of continuous improvement and advise on the use of continuous improvement concepts in the workplace e.g. 5 whys, Ishikawa 
  • Provide advice on the close out of Corrective Preventive Action Reports (CPAR's)
  • Support the Quality & Compliance Manager as required
  • Participate and contribute to the Quality team
  • Liaise with Client counterparts and maintain regular contact with LAHC Audit & Verification Teams
  • Drive a culture of delivering customer and shareholder value


Key Skills and Experience:

  • Lead Auditor Qualification ISO9001
  • 3-5 years' experience in auditing 
  • Demonstrated leadership with a focus on collaboration and cooperation, challenge, and integrity. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to work as a member of a team. 
  • The ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex contract environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in drafting and administration of audit tools, process maps, policies, procedures, and forms for a wide range of applications
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Audit report writing skills
  • Continuous Improvement (desirable)

This role occasionally requires working some extra work outside of business hours, as well as occasional travel domestically. 

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate needs to be an Australian Citizen, be willing to complete an Australian National Police check and have a valid Drivers License.
