We have an opportunity for an IP Communications Technician to be based in Invercargill




Reporting to the Contract Manager, your responsibilities will include the installation, repair, and maintenance of radio and cellular transmission equipment within the NZ Telecommunications network. (DMR, Cellular, Paging, Microwave systems, Telemetry, and CCTV).


This position may require the incumbent to work independently; working in outage time and may require overnight on weekdays, and day/night work on weekends (including Sunday)


ABOUT YOU (Skills and Experience)


As the successful candidate, you will need to have experience in one of the following areas of specialisation: switching, transmission, radio, and/or new generation networks.

Work experience within the NZ telecommunications network is desired, but not necessary;

You will also have demonstrated ability to work in situations where the incumbent was in charge of a project / task, made independent decisions, and delegated work to team members.

You will need to display high levels of ingenuity, analytical thinking, and independent problem solving, and decision making.


Due to the multi-disciplinary nature of the role, you will be required to feel comfortable with a large degree of work flexibility.




This is an exciting role where no two days are the same.  You will have the support of the CT team and the overall Broadspectrum business. Exposure to different clients and as well as opportunities for growth, learning, and development.
