The Role
Broadspectrum are currently looking to engage an experienced Technical Fuel Officer/ Engineer responsible for monitoring of maintenance services for prescribed fuels assets in the designated region to support the company meet its Maintenance Agent responsibilities as described within Contract Service Deliverables. This is a permanent full-time role that will see you based at RAAF Edinburgh, however regular travel to various sites may be required.  
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Maintenance Management

  • Delivery of Maintenance Agent functions in accordance with Defence Policies and Estate Upkeep contract deliverables.
  • Monitor the progress and intervene to ensure preventative and reactive maintenance tasks are completed on time;
  • Develop and manage maintenance plans including downtime reports;
  • Maintain Consolidated Maintenance Plans, Configuration Maintenance Information, maintenance strategies and estate data.
  • Provide technical advice on fuel maintenance work activities; 
  • Provide oversight and assistance in estate appraisal program & representation for request for information, capital works projects including handover;

Client/Customer Management

  • Provide support in the delivery of monthly engagement Meetings;
  • Provide updates to stakeholder’s on KPI’s and performance issues. Escalate issues to Management as required. 
  • Raise & submission of management of change, extension of time & waivers for maintenance work;

Financial Control

  • Submit, monitor, and justify all related costs and purchases for the assigned tasks; 
  • Raise & delivery of Survey & Quote works for complex technical engineering projects;
  • Provide documentation and justification to variations of cost estimates if required; 
  • Monitor cost performance against revenue and tender estimates; 

Safety

  • Maintain Safety Management Plans;
  • Ensure all necessary support is provided and available to meet all statutory regulations, particularly with regard to safety and achieving Company performance targets; 
  • Identifying and managing hazards and communicating them to team members; 
  • Reporting & investigating incidents and accidents; 
  • Acting as an agent of change so that the business is continually improving its safety systems so that opportunities for improvement are recognised and actioned; 

Participation in Integrity Investigation

  • Coordinate or undertake investigations when IMS Incidents are raised. Responsible for completion of any assigned corrective actions in IMS. 

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant Degree in Engineering or a related discipline and experience in Hydrocarbons industry.
  • Demonstrated management, leadership and organisational skills. 
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level. 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team. 
  • Demonstrated written communication and IT skills. 
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
