The Role:
Ventia manages a contract with the iconic and prestigious University of Sydney, to maintain assets, within the Universities campuses. We are currently seeking a HVAC Supervisor to lead the team of Technicians.  This position will see you based in an inner Sydney location with the requirement to travel to campuses in the greater Sydney region and reporting into the Operations Manager you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the in-house trade’s staff to effectively maintain and repair these assets.  There will also be a requirement to occasionally assist on the tools.


The Successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:
•    Formal Mechanical trade background with relevant trade licences and experience in facilities maintenance on a range of building and asset related works and repairs preferred
•    Demonstrated knowledge of relevant industry WHS and promote a safe working environment for all staff 
•    High degree of experience with mechanical assets such as compressors and pumps
•    Extensive experience and ability to lead the maintenance of the range of chillers at the University (Trane, Carrier, York, SMARDT, BLUEBOX, Aqua Cooler etc…)
•    Extensive experience in maintaining and installing HVAC systems and components
•    Experience in refrigeration units
•    Proven experience in managing a team and performance management
•    Experience in engineering and designing the installation of cooling and heating systems and their associated components
•    Proven experience leading a team
•    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
•    Competence in computer based applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, SAP experience is highly desirable
•    Excellent time management and organisational skills
•    Willingness to travel to different metro University of Sydney campuses
•    Hold a valid Australian Driver’s Licence for the state in which the position is based
