We have a long and successful partnership with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and the partnership continues to grow.  Broadspectrum has been successful in securing the National Clothing Store Services Contract (NCSS) for the ADF over the next 5 years with potential for extensions beyond that tenure, so it would be a great time to join the team. Clothing Stores are primary logistic functions characterised by the process of Sales and Issue of Clothing and Personal Equipment (C&PE); Medal Mounting; Tailoring and Operational Kitting skills. Internal movement of Freight is also involved.

These services are provided to Defence individuals and Defence elements.

The Role

Broadspectrum are currently looking to engage a Store Service Attendant for the NCSS contract to assist with the daily operational functions of the Bandiana store. The Store Service Attendant ensures that all elements of the NCSS contract within the base are carried out in accordance with the contract requirements and appropriate Defence and Broadspectrum Services Policy.

 

Primary Responsibilities

In this role you will demonstrate abilities in preparing and processing stores documentation. Maintaining warehouse records, stock packing and preparation for dispatch. Conduct stocktake activities whilst ensuring proper custody and security of stores and inventory.

 

The daily requirements include reconciliation of cash counter takings, loading and unloading trucks as required. Carry out board of survey and disposal activities/ tasks. Licensed and appropriate operation/ handling of equipment and all materials as required. Including the use of tools within the warehouse environment (basic non-trades maintenance)

 

The successful applicant will have a continuous focus on delivering quality services to all customers, understanding detailed instructions, following procedures and possess sound interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, demonstrating the ability to co-ordinate work within a team environment, whilst maintaining quality and working under limited supervision.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Experience within Defence sector (highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability on delivering quality services to all Customers
  • Demonstrated interpersonal ability to work efficiently as a member of a team
