Broadspectrum have an opportunity for an experienced and fully qualified Cable Jointer to be part of their Electrical Services group based in Islington.

This role will be working mostly on the local Orion distribution network, along with various private networks, carrying out Live LV jointing and termination work.  You will also do some HV work including installation and maintenance of network substations and HV cable jointing.

Requirements for this role: 

  • Hold an AS/NZ EWRB qualification
  • Experience in live 400V cable work, in both paper insulated lead and polymeric cables is an advantage
  • Experience in jointing PILC and Polymeric cables up to and including 11kV is an advantage
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of electrical theory and electrical testing
  • Ability to understand electrical diagrams and plans
  • Be willing to multi-task
  • Hold a current full Class 1 Drivers license
