The Role
Broadspectrum are seeking expressions of interest for a Senior Arborist 
to assist the Land Management Team on the Defence Base Services contract located at RAAF Edinburgh.

To provide supervision, technical expertise and direction to deliver cost effective services to our Clients by planning works, coordinating and supervising employees and subcontractors


Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develop and monitor arboriculture team programmes of work (focusing on Vegetation Inspection and Reporting, Powerline and Asset Clearing)
  • Develop plans and programmes of work related to tree management, asset maintenance management plans and ordered works
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality / Safety requirements
  • Monitor that works are delivered on time and within budget and to performance standards
  • Work within the sites/Clients/Broadspectrum Environmental, Cultural Heritage and HSEQ plans
  • Develop and review instructions, procedures, forms and documents relevant to the contract and subject area
  • Implement measures and plans to achieve operational sustainability and a reduction in carbon footprint as per the contractual requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a defence security clearance
  • Minimum Cert IV in Arboriculture (or equivalent)
  • Proven understanding and experience in Tree Management inclusive of arboriculture tree assessments and inspections, electrical lines vegetation management and tree maintenance strategies
  • Sound computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Suite and GIS programmes
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of indigenous plant communities of South Australia
  • Qualified and experienced as a minimum in: First Aid Level 2, Chainsaw Level 1, Advanced Fallers,  Chem Cert Qualification, Electrical Lines Clearance, Elevated Work Platform, Construction Induction Card (White Card/Red Card)
